The San Jose Sharks will have to finish out tonight's game against the Washington Capitals without their head coach after David Quinn was ejected on Saturday night.
Quinn and the Sharks were down two goals to the Capitals in the third period when Quinn's disagreements with National Hockey League referee Gord Dwyer came to an explosive head in front of the television cameras. Quinn and Dwyer had clashed earlier in the night but this time Quinn was determined to give the NHL official a piece of his mind.
Although I can't make out everything that Quinn said by reading his lips, it's not hard to see that there were quite a few profanities included in the verbal barrage he delivered against Dwyer. David Quinn could be seen saying "f*** you" several times and I'm positive I also saw him call Dwyer a "f***ing a**hole" as well.
Something tells me David Quinn will likely be hearing from the NHL itself regarding this incident, and it might cost him a couple of bucks as well.
