Darryl Sutter reveals why Huberdeau left the bench in a hurry.

A brutally honest response from the head coach.

Hey, we're all just human.

On Saturday night during the latest installment of the Battle of Alberta we saw yet another clash between the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers. It was a relatively standard affair between the two teams, one that the Oilers would eventually walk away from as the victors taking the win by a score of 3-2, but following the game there were some questions about a mysterious disappearance that occurred during the first period.

During that opening frame, Calgary Flames star forward Jonathan Huberdeau appeared to leave the game in a hurry, although whatever urgency there was did not last long as he would eventually make his way back to the Flames bench.

Following the game, Calgary Flames head coach Darryl Sutter was asked about his player's disappearance and he gave a rather blunt response. Never one to mince words, Sutter revealed that Huberdeau simply had a bathroom emergency that he had to deal with at the time.

"I think he had to go take a shit," said Sutter following the game.

Seeing it written down doesn't quite do it justice, so here is a short clip of Sutter taking the question during his post-game press conference.
