“Cut Bedard” trends on social media and gets fans outraged!

Late on Tuesday night, Bardown posted a Start, Bench, Cut: CHL Edition on social media. They used the top players to ever play in the league in Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid and Connor Bedard. And while the latter was selected first overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in this year’s NHL Draft and is considered to be the ultimate saviour of the Hawks’ franchise, he ended up being the one cut. Hence, "Cut Bedard" was trending, especially in Canada. 

Fans made it clear that with what they have on the three superstars, the logical answer is to cut Bedard, seeing that he has yet to play an NHL contest and is rivalling with the two best players in the league!

“Cutting Bedard cuz he’s literally unproven and the first two are established kings of the league,” one fan added to his choices.

Many explained that “for now at least” they would cut Bedard. However some could not fathom cutting the first overall pic and generational talent... As for the start and bench categories, Crosby and McDavid appeared to be interchangeable, though it sure got some fans going!

That's because it's almost an impossible scenario !

I have to agree with the fans. I wouldn’t be able to cut neither Crosby or McDavid. Let’s wait and see how Bedard does in his NHL debut and games moving forward and then let’s ask the question again!
