He left last night's game with a lower body injury.

The Detroit Red Wings lost forward Robby Fabbri during last night's game against the Chicago Blackhawks to what was clearly a lower body injury; that was especially concerning given the fact that Fabbri has suffered a torn ACL at multiple points during his career. In fact, he missed the first half of this season while recovering from offseason surgery to correct the torn ACL he suffered nearly a year ago.
Fabbri didn't return to last night's game, but reportedly tried skating on Detroit's practice rink located inside of Little Caesars Arena. The good news is that Fabbri's latest setback isn't believed to be serious, and he's considered "day to day" according to head coach Derek Lalonde, who says they'll "proceed cautiously".
"That's a big part of it," Lalonde said. "I think that's the 'proceed cautiously' part of it.
"Seeing it, his reaction, with his history, the boys were rattled. But then there was some optimism once the dcotor got involved."
"Don't know if he will be available for Saturday, but it's encouraging, up against what he has faced the last couple years.
Fabbri's teammates were understandably concerned, given his history of ACL injuries.
"It was something that really deflated the bench, when that happened," captain Dylan Larkin said. "It was tough to see. We got to come in and kind of see him before the second period, which was good. It made us all feel better."
The Red Wings defeated the Blackhawks by a 4-2 final score to break a six game losing skid. They'll be taking on the NHL-leading Boston Bruins in a home and home series this weekend, and will be facing former teammate Tyler Bertuzzi for the first time since he was dealt to the Original 6 rival at the NHL Trade Deadline last week.
