It’s really no surprise that Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard, whom they selected with the first overall pick after winning the Draft Lottery, leads all NHL rookies in scoring with a total of 40 points in just 46 games played.
Of course, this is combined with the fact that he missed time after having suffered a broken jaw. He’s going to be the odds-on favorite to take home the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie, and he’s just added another feather to his cap.

Despite playing on a poor Blackhawks squad this season, the sky really is the limit for Bedard moving forward.
