The National Hockey League season is officially over but that doesn't mean that the hockey players that make up the league are staying off of the ice in the summer months, far from it in fact in some cases.

That was the case for all of the current and former NHL players who participated in the Shoulder Check showcase, a charity event that took place this week and featured some pretty big names from the league and looks to raise awareness for mental health issues.

Several members of the Rangers were on hand for the event as was officially confirmed by the Rangers themselves through their social media.

Although there were several Rangers on hand for the event there was one, or perhaps two, who clearly stole the show. The one would be Rangers star forward Chris Kreider who not only pulled off a great move in the shootout, but did so while half mocking and half paying tribute to Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis.

St. Louis, a former New York Ranger himself, was serving as a coach for Kreider's opponents in the game and Kreider made sure to point at the bench where St. Louis was standing after he pulled off the move.

According to Jonny Lazarus who was on hand for the event, Kreider was in fact gesturing directly at St. Louis after the move.

In this clip from BR Open Ice, you can see both the move from Kreider and the one from St. Louis that Kreider was emulating, and there is no mistaking the fact that Kreider was emulating St. Louis in that moment.

A great moment between a pair of opponents and a pair of former Rangers, one that put a smile on the faces of those in attendance and now those watching from home as well.
