According to a report from Patrick Johnson of The Province newspaper in Vancouver, Vancouver Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini is being sued by ex-wife Tali’ah Aquilini for unpaid child support. The former couple divorced in 2013.

In her lawsuit against the Canucks owner, Tali’ah levies some pretty serious allegations, stating that Francesco abused the children when they were younger. The children, all full-time University students aged 24, 22 and 20, described their abuse in court affadavits.

More from Johnson's column for The Province:

Wow... just... wow...

Aquilini has been estranged from his children for years, but has continued to make child support payments until 2021 when payments suddenly stopped. Tali'ah suspects that payments stopped over a disagreement with her former husband on the children's education because the children insisted that their father not know which schools they are attending for fear that he will show up to find them.

Chilling.

More to come on this developing story, but needless to say that this is NOT the kind of news that Canucks fans want to see in the media ahead of a big season.
