Bunting loses it on the refs after getting cross-checked in the face

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings played a pretty testy affair this evening, with the Red Wings coming out on top 4-1 in a fairly entertaining game.

In the end the Red Wings played some textbook, physical defensive hockey after gaining a lead midway through the game. And, as it has happened so often this season, when the Leafs can't generate offense they get frustrated easily. That's exactly what happened with Leafs forward Michael Bunting in the 3rd frame.

While attempting to bang home a rebound in the Red Wings' crease Bunting ended up eating a cross check from Wings defender Ben Chiarot. It's unclear if the check was intentional or not, but it's ugly and it should be a penalty 10 times out of time.

The refs must have missed the play though because there was no penalty called on the play, which absolutely incensed Bunting.
