This just in, the St. Louis Blues have acquired forward Kevin Hayes from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for a 6th round draft pick. The Flyers have retained 50% of Hayes $7.1 million salary for the next three seasons.

It was reported this past weekend that the Flyers and Blues had a bigger deal in place involving Hayes, but it fell apart when Blues defenseman Torey Krug refused to waive his no-trade clause to head to the Flyers. The teams had to then go back to the drawing board and come up with a new plan.
