We reported earlier today that TSN insider Bob McKenzie mentioned legendary defenseman Paul Coffey could be joining the Edmonton  Oilers soon. McKenzie didn't have many details about this whole situation, and couldn't say what kind of role the Hall of Famer would have with the team.

Now we have new information about this hot topic. Oilers' insider Jim Matheson said the team has prepared a press conference tomorrow, where it will announce what Coffey's job is going to be:

Through twenty-one NHL seasons, Coffey was named to either the First or Second All-Star Team eight times, and as the Norris Trophy winner on three occasions. He scored a total of 396 goals and 1135 assists for 1531 points in 1409 NHL games.

He played for the Oilers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Los Angeles Kings, the Detroit Red Wings, the Hartford Whalers, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Carolina Hurricanes before ending his career with the Boston Bruins.
