Brad Marchand reveals his New Year's resolution.

A very Marchand-like answer.

It is the first day of the new year and with that comes millions of New Year's resolutions, many of which will no doubt be broken in short order, but for a man like Brad Marchand it can be a very difficult task to undertake.

On Saturday fans in Boston were treated to a home game for the Boston Bruins, something that has become relatively rare given the amount of games postponed by the National Hockey League this season, and it was during a stoppage in play that the notorious Bruins agitator once again stole the show.

In a short little segment that had been recorded before the game, Marchand was asked about what he had in mind for a New Year's resolution in 2022 and he answered in typical Marchand-like fashion. Rather than give a serious answer to the question, perhaps because he genuinely didn't have one, Marchand gave an answer that I suspect will produce a collective groan from fans around the NHL when they hear it.

Marchand simply stated that a man like him had no need for a New Year's resolution, because he was already the perfect human being.

"I don't have one. I'm perfect," said Marchand on the Jumbotron.

Not only did the Bruins faithful get a home game on New Year's day and not only did they get some quality comedy courtesy of their favorite pest, but the team also managed to secure what was a tightly contested game by beating the Buffalo Sabres by a score of 4 - 3.

It was another big game for former Buffalo Sabres forward Taylor Hall, who has now made a clear habit of making his former team pay each time he faces them, recording his 5th goal in just 9 games since being traded by the Sabres to the Bruins. It was a game tying goal that would force overtime,. and it also happened to be the first 5 on 5 goal that Hall has recorded since all the way back on the 20th of October. It was one that he and the Bruins desperately needed.
