Brad Marchand reveals his 'dumbest moment' in the NHL.

Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand hasn't always been an angel in the National Hockey League.

The Boston Bruins locker room is now under the leadership of National Hockey League veteran Brad Marchand, who took over as captain of the Bruins following the retirement of his long time friend and teammate Patrice Bergeron.

There's no question that Marchand was a solid pick due to his long tenure with the team, connection to the previous captain, and of course the maturity that he has shown as a player in the National Hockey League, especially in the latter stages of his career. Although Marchand is today the type of veteran leader that others in the Bruins locker room can look up to, that wasn't always the case.

Marchand has, for good reason, been among the most hated players in the NHL for many, many years now and it is due in large part to acts on the ice that even he would admit have been pretty questionable. In fact Marchand was asked about his 'dumbest moment' during his NHL career and Marchand pointed to a few incidents that I think many would agree were less than ideal.

"There's a few," admitted Marchand. "A very blatant and obvious one would probably be the Callahan one."

We all know what he is talking about here, the infamous licking incident.

Marchand also acknowledged that a certain incident involving Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry was one of the more regrettable moments of his career. A sucker punch that would come after the whistle, a poor decision that even Marchand seems to sincerely regret.

"The one on Jarry wasn't very smart either," admitted Marchand.

No doubt you all had one particular incident in mind when you clicked on the link to this article and if it just so happens that Marchand didn't mention yours, please share it in the comments.
