A furious Brad Marchand calls for a reporter to be fired over his recent comments

Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand is not the least bit happy, so much so in fact that he has publicly called for one man to be fired over a recent report.

Recently radio host Rich Keefe made comments on the airwaves of WEEI radio in Boston which very much pointed the finger of blame at Bruins star forward David Pastrnak for the team's failures on the ice this season. In his comments, Keefe described how Pastrnak was refusing to play on the same line as team captain Brad Marchand and causing problems in the Bruins locker room as a result.

"The locker room is a disaster, and David Pastrnak is at the center of that," said Keefe this week. "David Pastrnak has told the team he doesn't want to be on a line with Brad Marchand, and it may stem from Brad Marchand calling out Pastrnak for some of his play throughout the year."

The comments caused quite a bit of controversy in the Boston area, so much so that Marchand felt the need to address the comments publicly and in harsh fashion.

"It's unfortunate, I know reporters have a job to do, but when there's just blatant lies told in the media that's when there's a problem," said Marchand. "The fact that this guy has a platform and he's just making stuff up is embarrassing."

Marchand would go so far as to call for Keefe to be fired from his position on the radio over the comments.

"This is how you lose your job very quickly," said Marchand. "The fact that this guy is going to have a job after this is insane."

Keefe has however taken those comments from Marchand as confirmation that his report was accurate, even appearing to do a victory lap in response to Marchand calling for his job.

"Now I got Marchand calling for my job?" wrote Keefe on social media platform X. "No one acts this way if the story is really false. Thanks for the confirmation."

Marchand however isn't backing down and took to his own social media platform to fire off yet another response at Keefe, this time doing so in picture form. Marchand posted several pictures of him and Pastrnak enjoying life together on his Instagram, accompanied by a quote that was obviously directed at Keefe.

"Wolves don’t lose sleep over the opinions of sheep!," wrote Marchand.

Something tells me this feud isn't quite over just yet.
