Blackhawks retire Marian Hossa's #81.
Blackhawks pay tribute to the 3 time Stanley Cup winner.
Sunday night was a special night for the Chicago Blackhawks as they paid tribute to one of their former players in Marian Hossa. The much beloved forward was on hand to have the #81 that he wore with the Blackhawks raised to the rafters in what was a wonderful jersey retirement ceremony.
Hossa, who spent 8 seasons with the Blackhawks, received a very warm reception when he was introduced by another beloved former Chicago Blackhawk in Eddie Olczyk.

One of the highlights of the ceremony had to be when a chorus of "Detroit sucks" chants broke out at the United Center, chants that Hossa had the perfect response to:

Hossa will now officially go down as the only player to ever wear the #81 in the history of the Chicago Blackhawks franchise, and that's pretty cool.
