Auston Matthews refuses to answer on private chat with Sheldon Keefe
A bit of a cheeky moment.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are on the verge of entering what truly will be a crucial postseason for them, and will need their big guns firing on all cylinders if they're to finally break their lengthy skid that has seen them fail to advance past Round 1 since 2004.
Oilers media members were quick to notice during practice that head coach Sheldon Keefe pulled both Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner aside for a private chat, and understandably inquired as to the content of the conversation.
"I am looking for lots from those guys going forward, but obviously, what we talk about will stay between us," Keefe answered. "It is important that I check in with them and talk to them about what we are doing, what I am seeing, and what we need from them. They are two vital pieces of our team. We need them to thrive and feel good. I check in with those guys lots."
Not surprisingly, Matthews himself was asked about what he and Keefe spoke about. And though Matthews appeared a bit defiant in his refusal to answer, he couldn't help but crack a smile and chuckle a bit at the same time.
"Mark, that's none of your business, honestly," Matthews said between smirks. "That's between us, I'll leave it at that."
Though Matthews' response may appear to be a bit combative on paper, the fact that he chuckled through a smile indicate that likely all is well and there's nothing to worry about.
Matthews and the Leafs will be back in action tonight when they take on the Atlantic Division rival Florida Panthers at FLA LIVE Arena. Game time is set for 7:00 PM EST.
