Angry hockey Dad opens arena door to yell at 12 year old ref during U10 youth game
Great job, tough guy. Picking a fight with a pre-teen.

Welcome to the latest episode of "Hockey Parents Making Absolute Fools of Themselves".
In today's episode we see a hockey Dad losing his shit on a 12 year old referee at a Novice/Atom game.
From Reddit user NJDevilsFan:
"My son is 12 and currently a ref in training. He was reffing a 10u game today and an angry parent decided to open the door to the rink while the puck was in play and scream in his face and then slam the door on him."
And here's the video:
Are you kidding me?
Gotta love the "Way to go, tough guy!" at the end. Couldn't have said that any better myself.
Who the Hell gets off on shouting at a kid during a u10 youth hockey game? Give your head a shake, buddy. And when you're done that go sit in the parking lot until your kid comes off the ice. Just an absolute clown.
As someone who grew up playing hockey all over Canada, I can't tell you how many goofs there are out there like this guy. It seemed like every arena I ever played in had at least a few hockey Dads banned from attendance. It's not your kid's fault that you're living your dream through them. Either sit down, shut up and watch some hockey or go out to the parking lot and punch your steering wheel.
Speaking also as someone who has officiated hockey at all different levels, I would have no hesitation tossing a guy like this from the building. You have the right to cheer and boo as you see fit, but you have no right to make things personal and you CERTAINLY have no right to open up the facility doors and shout in my face. Take it outside. If you refuse, I won't drop the puck. So... what's it gonna be? Are you gonna ruin this for everyone, including your own child, or are you going to leave? The decision isn't so easy, trust me.
Here's hoping that this guy earned himself a ban from this particular arena and his son's games.
