On Wednesday, four more players were added to Cap Friendly’s list of professional tryouts in the NHL. Defenseman Nicolas Meloche and goalie Aaron Dell both landed PTOs with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Tampa Bay Lightning also signed rugged forward Austin Watson to a professional try out. As for the Anaheim Ducks, they signed defenseman Scott Harrington to a professional tryout earlier today.
They are the new PTO signings of the offseason, as five other players had already managed to land a tryout for training camps.
Blue liner Nathan Beaulieu got a PTO with the Carolina Hurricanes, while forward Alex Chiasson will attempt to crack the Boston Bruins’ roster.
Brandon Sutter is going to the Edmonton Oilers on a PTO, while forward Nathan Schnarr will join Meloche and Dell in Columbus on the same tryout opportunity.
Peter Holland is attempting an NHL comeback after announcing his retirement back in 2022, thanks to a chance at a PTO with the Colorado Avalache.
