Alex Tuch and Brendan Dillon drop the gloves in Prague!

Things got rough early on Saturday morning after a big hit from Brendan Dillon resulted in the gloves coming off.

Things have officially heated up in the National Hockey League's Global Series in the Czech Republic's city of Prague on Saturday morning.

Although the regular season isn't yet underway for most teams in the NHL, the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils have gotten off to an early start due to the fact that their season has begun overseas and it only took a few minutes for things to get ugly in their second matchup of the Global Series at the 02 Arena in Prague.

It was a pair of NHL veterans going at it in the early hours of Saturday morning after Sabres veteran forward Alex Tuch took exception to hit delivered by Devils veteran defenseman Brendan Dillon.

Dillon leveled Sabres forward J.J. Peterka on what may have been a bit of a late hit, resulting in Peterka crashing hard to the ice and clutching at his head in pain. Dillon didn't appear to catch Peterka up high, but the 22 year old forward did appear to smack the back of his head on the ice after the impact from Dillon, which made the hit look much worse from the perspective of Peterka's teammates.

This in turn resulted in Tuch immediately going after Dillon, dropping his gloves while still halfway across the ice and going right after the Devils defenseman. Dillon was more than happy to oblige however and almost seemed giddy at the prospect of throwing down with Tuch.

It was largely a one sided affair with the much more experienced fighter in Dillon getting the better of Tuch, although full credit to Tuch for attempting to stick up for what looked like an injured teammate on the ice.
