In a bit of a twist that I certainly did not expect this summer, rapper and recording artist 50 Cent appears to have inserted himself in the rivalry between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs.

50 Cent performed in Boston over the weekend and in a bizarre decision took the stage sporting a hat of one of the team's most bitter rivals within the National Hockey League's Atlantic Division, the aforementioned Leafs. In a video published to social media platform by Colin Rugg of Trending Politics, 50 Cent can be seen performing on stage in Boston in front of a large photograph of Former U.S. President Donald Trump who had been attacked earlier in the day.

Although the video was shot from a little ways away from the stage, the traditional blue and white as well as the Maple Leafs logo were clearly visible on 50 Cent's head during his performance on stage.

It is unclear at this time why exactly 50 Cent decided to wear Maple Leafs attire while performing in Boston, but the highly successful rapper and entrepreneur is known to be smart, savvy and very calculated so I do not believe this was merely a mistake on his part.

It could very well be that 50 Cent was merely looking to play the role of the villain on stage, which certainly would not be out of character.
