Former NHL forward Tomas Plekanec isn't packing it in anytime soon.

The 40 year old former Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs veteran has signed a contract extension with his hometown Kladno Knights of the Czech Extraliga.

Plekanec has been the Knights' captain since joining the team in 2019, playing alongside his good friend and team owner Jaromir Jagr. Last season Plekanec put up 16 goals and 49 points in 52 games. Not bad for an old-timer.

In 15 NHL seasons Plekanec put up 233 goals and 608 points in 1001 games. Oh... and he's also has the highest 'turtleneck per game' average in NHL history. Just an absolute legend in the neck warming community.
