After going 2-3 through their first five games, fans of the San Jose Sharks are growing restless. The team’s most notable offseason news was the departure of longtime forward Patrick Marleau and replacing him in the team’s lineup is… no one really. That’s been an issue in San Jose so far in this young season. Specifically, the team lacks the forward depth it once had with Marleau in the lineup. So, how long until GM Doug Wilson makes a trade to address the issue? Not long according to one Sharks insider.

Kevin Kurz of the Athletic breaks it down for fans on Twitter:

So, who’s available? How about Andreas Athanasiou or Riley Sheahan from the Detroit Red Wings? Or maybe the Sharks swing big for a star player like Colorado Avalanche star Matt Duchene or New York Islanders captain John Tavares?

While we haven’t heard much out of San Jose this season, look for trade speculation to ramp up if the team can’t start putting some more numbers up in the win column.
