Report: 'Talks have stopped' for NHL free agent!

Everyone expected forward Josh Anderson to be present on the first day of training with the Columbus Blue Jackets. However, things did not go as expected and, according to his agent Darren Ferris, things aren't going anywhere...

"They aren’t going. The talks have stopped. Nothing is really happening, and now he’s evaluating his options," Ferris told the Columbus Dispatch.

In 78 games last year in his first full NHL season with the Jackets, Anderson scores 17 goals. Though the team management kept saying he'd be present at camp, these new developments show otherwise.

“They have to be fair with the player,” Ferris added.

“They may have been in their mind, but nothing has indicated to me that there’s any resolution in the short term. Josh wants to be with his teammates and loves the fans in Columbus, but you can’t make too big of a sacrifice. They’re asking him to undervalue himself by a great degree.”
