The Ottawa Senators won in a shootout by a score of 4-3 against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday afternoon. A decision made by Guy Boucher in the shootout raised some questions, when he went with Tom Pyatt in the third round, when Mike Hoffman was still available. Nobody scored before the sixth round, when Boucher finally decided to go with Hoffman. He made no mistake, scoring a beautiful goal to give his team the win!

Hoffman, 28, was drafted 130th overall by the Senators in 2009. He has 12 goals and 20 assists for a total of 32 points in 49 games played so far this season. In 309 games played in the NHL, the Kitchener, Ontario native has 97 goals and 109 assists for a total of 206 points. He added 14 points in 25 playoff games.

The Senators are currently seventh in the Atlantic division with a record of 17-24-9. They will play their next game tomorrow afternoon against the Montreal Canadiens.
