Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek added to his league-leading assist total with a beautiful kick pass to Claude Giroux, who shot a one-timer that was deflected by Wayne Simmonds. This goal was Simmonds 15th goal of the season. The Flyers won this game against the New Jersey Devils by the score of 5-2, and they have now won their last four games.

Drafted seventh overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2007, Voracek was acquired via trade by the Flyers in 2011, in a deal that sent Jeff Carter to Columbus. In 729 games played in the NHL with the Jackets and the Flyers, the Czech forward scored 163 goals and 378 assists for a total of 541 points. He added 16 points in 28 playoff games. So far this season, the 28-year old forward has eight goals and 45 assists for 53 points in 43 games played.

Giroux, 30, was drafted 22nd overall by the Flyers in 2006. The Hearst, Ontario native scored 194 goals and 435 assists in 699 games played, and added 62 points in 63 playoff games. This season, Giroux has 14 goals and 40 assists for 54 points in 43 games played.

Simmonds, 29, was drafted 61st overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 2007. The Flyers acquired him via trade in 2011 with Brayden Schenn, in a deal that sent Mike Richards to the Kings. In 730 games played in the NHL so far, the Scarborough, Ontario native scored 217 goals and 208 assists for 425 total points, and added 19 points in 36 playoff games. He has 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points in 43 games played so far this season. 

The Flyers are currently sixth in the Metropolitan division with a record of 20-15-8. They will play their next game on Tuesday against the New York Rangers.
