The Philadelphia Flyers have sent defenseman Mark Alt to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL), the team announced on Saturday. He was placed on waivers yesterday, but wasn't claim. He played eight games with the Flyers this season, registering two penalty minutes.


Alt, 26, was drafted 53rd overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2010. He was traded to the Flyers in 2013. In nine games played in the NHL so far, the St.Paul, Minnesota hasn't register a point. At the AHL level, Alt produced 77 points in 253 games played.

The Flyers are currently eight in the Metropolitan division with a record of 16-14-8. They'll be playing their next game on January second against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
