Breaking: Waiver action affects Sens's lineup decisions

On Wednesday, forward Chris DiDomenico was placed on waivers, which was the third time for his time season. When the Sens placed him on the wire back in November, he was claimed by the Tampa Bay Lightning, who ended up placing him back there, which pushed Ottawa to claim him back.

On Thursday, DiDomenico was not claimed at all and will be sent to the minors in Belleville.

The Senators just acquired Nick Shore in a trade with the Kings, so they're no longer in need of DiDomenico's services as a bottom-six forward. Marian Gaborik, the biggest piece coming back to Ottawa in the Dion Phaneuf trade, will also make his debut tonight against the Buffalo Sabres.

In 24 games with the Sens this season, DiDomenico tallied four goals and 10 points.
