Breaking: Capitals assign young prospect to the AHL
Keystone Press

The Washington Capitals have re-assigned forward Tyler Gravoac to the Hershey Bears (AHL), the team announced on Friday. The 24-year old forward played five games in the NHL this season, without registering a point. In four games played with the Bears, he scored one goal and added an assist.

Drafted 191st overall by the Minnesota Wild in 2011, Gravoac was acquired via trade by the Capitals last summer. He played 62 games in the NHL with Minnesota and Washington, registering nine points.

At the AHL level, the Brampton, Ontario native produced 104 points in 206 games played.
