Just off the Benoit Pouliot injury, an injury in which Pouliot suffered a broken foot after blocking shot, we got an injury in very similar fashion to Matt Hendricks.
During the first period of the Oilers match up against Nashville, Hendricks blocked a shot from Predators defenseman Shea Weber. Unfortunately the shot hit Hendricks right in the knee, and he was understandably in quite a bit of pain and left the game.
The Oilers have since reported via the team's official twitter that X-rays have come back negative for Hendricks which is good news, but according to coach Dallas Eakins Hendricks is having difficulty bending his leg at the knee, not so good.
Hendricks took Weber's slap-shot off the knee-cap, got X-rays, they came back negative, just having trouble bending leg, says Eakins.
