Exhibition game? David Backes crushes former teammate Alex Pietrangelo anyways!
That's gonna leave a mark.

Earlier today Team USA made a number of comments indicating that they very much were looking for revenge against Canada following their defeat at the 2014 Sochi Winter Games.
Despite the fact that the contest between the two teams on Friday night was an exhibition game and meant nothing for the World Cup, it quickly got physical especially by international standards. The best hit of the night thus far came from Boston Bruins newest forward David Backes.
Backes showed he is perfect fit for the stereotypical Boston Bruins when he delivered a huge hit to his former St. Louis Blues teammate Alex Pietrangelo launching him into the corner boards.
To Pietrangelo's credit he quickly bounced back up from the big hit.
