Rumor: Blackhawks involved in talks to trade away another player.

It would appear that the Blackhawks are looking to the future of their franchise, and unfortunately for one player he just doesn't fit.

According to a recent report from Mark Spector of Sportsnet, the Blackhawks are still talking to other NHL teams in an attempt to trade away Bryan Bickell, and they may have been close to a deal recently.

Spector mentioned that the Blackhawks had been in talks with the Edmonton Oilers and that Bickell as well as Oilers defenseman Nikita Nikitin were the topic of those talks, however a deal has yet to materialize.

What we do know is the Oilers are still looking to trade Nikitin so perhaps a deal between the two sides is still a possibility.
