Morgan Rielly was by the far the brightest spot in the Leafs roster last year. In only his second year last season, Rielly played well. He was getting the puck of the defensive zone quickly, he minimized the turnovers and contributed offensively.

The mobile defenseman wants now to "be a to-go guy" with the Maple Leafs. Although he is still very young, Rielly has all the tools to do so.

"I'm at the point now where I've played a couple years and I think I'm ready for that leadership role. I want that expectation to be a go-to guy and I want to be a big part of this team and I'm looking forward to the challenge."

Now, with Mike Babcock behind the bench, Morgan riled might get top minutes next season. His offensive contribution might just explode if he stays healthy and continue his stellar progression.
