Report: The latest on the Patrick Kane trade rumors.
This may be a very telling sign.
HockeyFeed
In the last week or so rumors of what exactly the Chicago Blackhawks will do with superstar Patrick Kane have run rampant, but now we may have a better indication of the Blackhawks intentions, or at least their intentions right now.
One major aspect of a Patrick Kane trade is his no-movement clause, the Blackhawks can't trade Kane unless he approves the move, and according to a source who spoke with ESPN the Blackhawks have not approached Kane about waiving that clause.
That would seem to indicate that at least right now trading Patrick Kane is not something the Blackhawks are considering, then again any trade would likely require the current investigation to be resolved first. The Blackhawks could realistically decide to ask him to waive his no-movement if the case has been closed.
The Blackhawks could also simply terminate Patrick Kane's contract, much like the Kings have attempted to do with Mike Richards following an incident at the Canada/U.S.border. Although given Kane's value as a player that seems highly unlikely unless he is formally charged.
