In 2016, the Colorado avalanche will host an outdoor game. Like other teams before them, The Avalanche will unveil a new jersey for the special game.
Usually teams that play in outdoor games or the Winter Classic like to give their uniform some kind of retro look. Unfortunately for them, Colorado does not have any retro jersey and the use of the Quebec Nordiques logo is not a direction they want to explore.
Instead, the team will sport a jersey with the Colorado Rockies's logo. The Rockies played in the NHL between 1976 to 1982, before moving to New Jersey in 1987 and being named the Devils.
The colour on the jersey will be the same as the present jersey, but with a different proportion.
The jersey was unveiled first on icethetics.co's twitter account.
