It appears the Vancouver Canucks will be without one of their crucial forwards on Monday.
Canucks' forward Alex Burrows flew back to Vancouver on Sunday morning to attend to "personal matters". As of now his status for the rest of the Canucks' road trip is up in the air.
The issue and how long it will keep Burrows from rejoining the club are unknown. However, Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins assured reporters that it's nothing negative.
"It's a personal reason. He went back, and it's a good thing, so he's just back with his family," Desjardins said.
The head coach didn't rule out the possibility that Burrows could fly back in time to play against the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre on Monday night, but that much tracel may prove problematic for Burrows.
The Canucks are in the midst of a seven-game road trip that concludes Wednesday against the Winnipeg Jets.
Hopefully Burrows can take the time he needs to deal with his issue and get back to the club as fast as possible.
